Darling child

Sit little baby, sleep if you will.

Rest yourself and lie down still.

Sore are your arms and tired wings.

Rest little one as your mother sings.

When did you feel that you couldn't fly?

The world is bold and you are shy?

Other little birds learnt to fly and roar.

Darling child, you too were made to soar.

Flapping your wings till they were tired,

Struggling to fly both tired and wired.

Not good enough, you doubt yourself.

Falling and rising your tired self.

To fly up high you need no might.

Humming with joy will make you light.

Loosen yourself clenched up so tight.

Then the lovely horizon shall be in sight.

Remember dear one, its not a race.

Some fly fast, others at their pace.

All who fly love the view they say.

The best is for those who sing along the way.

So, rest till you must, and wake with a zing.

To learn to fly you must learn to sing.

Spread your wings and sing from your core.

Darling child, you too were made to soar.

A bit of reassurance for whoever needs it. :)
